China sets diplomatic note against South Korean president's remarks on Taiwan

The Chinese Foreign Ministry says Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong has filed a complaint with the South Korean ambassador to Beijing over a misrepresentation by the South Korean president regarding Taiwan.

According to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Sunday, Son told the ambassador that South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's comments were "unacceptable" and he expressed dissatisfaction. Very well.

Diplomatic disputes between Beijing and Seoul escalated in a recent interview with Reuters, during which Yoon said tensions were rising around Taiwan due to attempts to change the current situation through force. And that he had opposed any attempt to do so.

The South Korean leader also said that at the moment, the dispute between China and Taiwan is a global issue.

He told Reuters that the Taiwan issue was not a normal one between China and Taiwan, but like the North Korean issue, it was a global issue.

Chinese officials have categorically rejected any comparison of the Van to North Korea.
